Born Lucky

Rachel and Drew were offered a babysitting job this weekend. They argued about who was going to take it because they both wanted to go out with friends on Saturday night. I told them one of them was taking it because in this economy, you can't turn down an opportunity to make money.

Drew ended up going out with friends. Rach ended up babysitting. They both just got home from their respective activities. Rachel pulled out her money, glad to have some cash in her hands. As she was bragging about her cash, Drew pulled out an envelope and said, "Oh yeah? Well I got a savings bond tonight at the movie theater."

Yes, he did. Rachel worked for her money while Drew went out and spent $3 on a movie ticket, but ended up with $20 more than her take home pay just by having his ticket number pulled out of a hat.

Drew was born lucky.
