Halloween

Halloween 2006 and Halloween 2007-as different as night and day!

Last year, due to our out-of-town location, we had only7 kids come to our house to Trick or Treat. This year, probably around 300 rang our doorbell! We had cute little baby chickens, beautiful witches, and young teenagers barely costumed...just enough to get candy. It was fun to stand by the door all night handing out candy. We ran out, despite my running to the store Halloween Eve to get more "just in case".

Our kids lost the Halloween spirit this year. Drew and Rachel did carve pumpkins on their own. Though tons of things are still packed and in storage, they were able to find the Williams-Sonoma pumpkin carving kit. Michael carved an apple...apparently pumpkins were nowhere to be found in town on weekend before the holidy. The only reason we had two of them at our house was because Taylor was here. Everywhere we went she would yell, "PUMPKINS" so we bought some so we could continue to be entertained at home.

Speaking of Taylor, the picture for this particular blog entry is of Tom, Rita, Taylor and Morgan. Since our own kids don't dress up anymore, I had to seek out pictures from nieces! If anybody else has pictures, send them my way. I'll add them to the slide show!
