In the wee hours of the morning, I realized that if baby #4 is born on her due date, she will complete a pattern. Actually, she'll complete two patterns. All 4 of our kids birth dates will be 9 days apart, AND all 4 of them will have birthdays whose digits add up to 4.
4 + 9=13 (Drew's b-date)
13+9=22 (Rachel's b-date)
22+9=31 (Michael's b-date)
4+0=4 (Baby #4?)
1+3=4 (Drew)
2+2=4 (Rachel)
3+1=4 (Michael)
How cool would that be?
However, I have a feeling it won't happen this way. My youngest sister Megan (the 4th child) would have completed a cool pattern in my family too. My sister Krista and I were 3 years and 3 months apart. Krista and my brother Tom were 3 years and 3 months apart. Tom and Megan were supposed to be 3 years and 3 months apart (he was born in May, she was due in August). However, Megan was over 3 weeks late and ended up a September baby. Thus ruining the 3 year, 3 month pattern.
Maybe the fourth child really is about shaking things up. That's okay. Life is all about being prepared to be surprised. I have a feeling we'll surprise her too!

How cool is that??? Nothing like being able to have a HUGE birthday bash! We are ending up with all our kids birthdays spread out all over the place, which doesn't leave us with more than a month or two without someone having a birthday! So we are planning reasonable celebrations so as not to wear Mom and Dad out, with one huge bash sometime in the year for the whole family.
